Human trafficking prevention month is here. Human trafficking, as you know, is a pervasive problem not just in America but all across the world. And in the sport of human trafficking prevention, some are donating to organizations that help stop and prevent this horrible thing.

Others are calling it out. One person, in particular, is calling it out. But something is wrong. Something is very wrong with the picture of this particular person who dares to call out human trafficking because this person is, in fact, himself a human trafficker.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott published a letter about human trafficking. You won’t believe what it said. “Human trafficking,” the trafficker wrote:

“Stands as an affront to human dignity and tragically, it lurks beneath the surface of modern America, mocking the very notions of liberty and justice.”

Excuse me while I vomit.

“Ours can never be a truly free and just society so long as human trafficking endures, and we must therefore go to any lengths necessary to purge this vice from our nation.”

Abbott, who seems to actually be under the mistaken belief that he’s a good, honorable person, has some nerve. It would be like Extreme Justice Alito publishing a letter calling for women’s rights or Lindsey Graham writing a book on how to stand up for oneself with dignity.

Abbott IS a human trafficker. His treatment of migrants is beyond despicable; everybody with a soul knows it. I imagine that Abbott is one of those people who truly think they’re a heck of an individual. Abbott did accomplish a few things. He: Didn’t bother to fix the Texas power grids resulting in death and destruction. He hasn’t bothered to help the people of Uvalde with gun safety. And, of course, he engaged in human trafficking. Greg Abbott is not a good person. He is an evil man, and a human trafficker.
