The White House revealed on Tuesday that Russia’s Wagner group was gearing up to enhance the air defences of either Lebanon’s Hezbollah movement or the Iranian regime.

This move is characterized as an “unprecedented defence cooperation” between Russia and these two US adversaries. According to National Security Council spokesman John Kirby, the information they have suggests that Wagner, under the guidance of the Russian government, was making preparations to supply air defence capabilities to either Hezbollah or Iran.

“Our information… indicates that Wagner, at the direction of the Russian government, was preparing to provide an air defence capability to either Hezbollah or Iran,” National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told reporters.

On the other hand, The United States military has experienced a concerning uptick in attacks within the regions of Iraq and Syria, tallying a total of 58 incidents targeting American troops since October 17, as reported by the Pentagon.

This surge in attacks underscores the ongoing security challenges U.S. forces face in the region.

Addressing concerns regarding the Pentagon’s response, Deputy Press Secretary Sabrina Singh reassured that they are not waiting for a service member to be killed before taking more decisive action.

According to the report, nearly 60 US service members have been injured in the recent attacks, which escalated following the US deployment of troops and assets to the Middle East after a significant attack on Israel by Hamas on October 7.

Despite facing more than 30 attacks in Iraq, the United States has opted not to respond within Iraqi territory against the fighters and militants supported by Iran.

Health authorities in Palestine have reported that, since the beginning of the conflict between Israel and Hamas, the number of casualties in Gaza has tragically risen to 13,000 fatalities and 30,000 wounded.

In a statement released on Sunday, health authorities in Palestine disclosed a tragic toll, with 5,500 children among the casualties who have lost their lives in the ongoing conflict.

According to a statement, over 6,000 individuals, including 4,000 women and children, are trapped under the rubble in various parts of Gaza.

In a recent development, both Hamas and Israel have announced that they are close to a ceasefire.
