From Washington: America’s Next Steps, As Fighting In Ukraine & the Middle East Persists

As Russian forces advance in the East the Biden Administration is making critical moves to supply Ukraine with the resources it needs to defeat Russia. At the same time, Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelenskyy met with both former President Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, as the question of how a new administration impacts the conflict remains critical. Meanwhile in the Middle East, fighting between Israel and Hezbollah is reaching new heights, leading to fears of war expanding in the region. White House National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby discusses where the U.S. stands and how we aim to move forward. Lawmakers on Capitol Hill wrapped up their work for the next few weeks, heading out of town until after Election Day. However, before they could enjoy their break, Congress passed a “clean” funding bill to keep the government operating until at least December. FOX News Senior Congressional correspondent Chad Pergram explains why, although Congress passed a continuing resolution, it sets lawmakers up for a lame-duck session in a few weeks and discusses the recent investigations into the assassination attempts on former President Donald Trump.
