The Mystery Surrounding UnitedHealthcare CEO’s Suspected Killer

After the shooting and killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, the search for his killer may have come to an end. Police in Altoona, Pennsylvania, arrested 26-year-old Luigi Mangione, who was found with the gun believed to be used in Thompson’s murder. Former FBI agent Nicole Parker joins to recount the manhunt for this murder suspect, the concerning trend of empathy online for the alleged killer, and what justice likely awaits Mangione if convicted. TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance, has until January 19th, 2025, to divest from TikTok to sell to a US owner or face a country-wide ban. This comes from national security experts, and lawmakers fear China’s access to Americans’ data. President-elect Donald Trump, set to soon take office for the second time, has expressed possible intentions to reverse this ban. Founder and CEO of Applied AI, John Cofrancesco, joins to discuss the looming ban and why Americans should be concerned about China’s access to their data.
