From Washington: Reflecting On One Year of the Israel-Hamas War

This Monday marks one year since Hamas invaded Israel, killing over 1,000 people and taking over 240 innocent civilians hostage. Since last October the conflict has only escalated — and now, as tensions grow alarmingly high between Israel and Iran, the question of what direction this war moves in remains unsettlingly indefinite. FOX News Chief National Security Correspondent Jennifer Griffin weighs in on how conflict in the Middle East has changed throughout the year and what the U.S.’s response might be to further escalation. This week, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas warned that FEMA was running out of funds amidst the catastrophic destruction of Hurricane Helene. With hundreds dead and even more people displaced from the storm, Congress is facing growing pressure to cut the October recess short to pass relief funding. FOX News Senior Congressional Correspondent Chad Pergram explains what’s complicating the efforts to secure more funding for FEMA this hurricane season.
