Defense Ministry highlights achievements in armament in 2024

In 2024, the Ministry of Defense approved over 1,300 types of weapons and military equipment for operational use, with nearly 75% of them being domestically produced, according to the Ministry of Defense.

“This indicator reflects the high efficiency of Ukrainian defense enterprises, which not only meet frontline needs during the war but also demonstrate competitiveness on the international stage,” said Deputy Defense Minister Dmytro Klimenkov.

According to him, the largest number of new developments this year were in unmanned aerial systems – 251 units were codified. Also, there were 169 types of munitions, 153 electronic warfare and reconnaissance systems, 108 engineering devices, 97 communication systems, and 57 ground missile systems.

The Deputy Minister noted that these results were made possible through close cooperation between the Ministry of Defense, Ukrainian manufacturers, and international partners.
