When the Azerbaijan Airlines plane was flying over Grozny, three bangs were heard, stated flight attendant of the plane, Zulfugar Asadov, according to Sky News.

He noted that the Russians had banned the Azerbaijan Airlines plane from landing in Grozny. Therefore, the pilot began circling around the city.

“The captain said that he was advised to land the plane at sea, but he decided to set a course for Aktau and land it on the ground,” Asadov said.

According to him, the captain also warned that the landing would be hard. Therefore, he asked the flight attendants to prepare the passengers for it.

“The pilot had just lifted the plane up when I heard a bang from the left wing. There were three bangs,” Asadov added.

He said that at that moment, “something rammed into his left arm, and the cabin lost pressure.”

Vafa Shabanova, a passenger, said she also heard two loud bangs. According to her, after that, there were problems with oxygen levels in the cabin.
