Russia’s losses during assaults could reach 2,000 troops per day – National Guard

Russian forces continue to deploy infantry for assaults on Ukrainian positions, with losses potentially reaching 2,000 troops per day, stated a spokesperson for the National Guard of Ukraine, Ruslan Muzychuk.

“The enemy continues actively engaging infantry for its assaults. In some areas, they are trying to reinforce infantry groups with small numbers of armored vehicles. Analyzing the combat over the past 10 days, there have been instances of assault operations using several armored units, ranging from three to seven or even ten,” Muzychuk said.

However, he noted that such assaults are not frequent. The enemy continues to concentrate on deploying infantry for these attacks.

“In total, during the day, there can be nearly 200 assault operations, sometimes even more. And indeed, the enemy’s losses are reaching up to 2,000 troops a day, which indicates the extent of infantry they are ready to send for such assaults in attempts to capture positions,” Muzychuk added.

He emphasized the effective work of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, noting that drones, particularly FPV drones, are helping to counter this infantry advance. In some areas, the effectiveness and precision of FPV drones reach 70-80%.

According to Muzychuk, over 100 combat engagements have occurred along the front line since the start of the day, with the highest enemy activity reported on the Pokrovsk, Kramatorsk, Kupiansk, and Lyman directions.

Russia’s losses in the war

According to the General Staff, since the beginning of the full-scale war against Ukraine, Russia has lost more than 789,000 personnel.

In particular, over the past day, the Defense Forces eliminated 1,610 soldiers and destroyed 5 tanks, 27 armored combat vehicles, 34 artillery systems, and other enemy equipment.
